Surgery
Having surgery can be an anxious time for patients and their families, but at Bothwell Regional Health Center patients can rest easy, secure in the knowledge that our physicians, anesthesiologists and nurses have the training and experience needed to provide the best possible care.
For example, infection can be a risk in any surgery. However, our infection rate of less than 1 percent is much lower than the national average of 2 to 5 percent of patients who develop post-surgical infections. We hold the line on surgical infections by making sure our surgical teams follow stringent safety guidelines for patient care.
All of our acute care registered nurses are certified in
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and a third are certified
in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Our five surgical
suites offer state-of-the-art equipment including video imaging
and digital radiology capabilities and surgery. For more
