Eighth Annual Lub Dub 5K/10K Walk/Run
Saturday, April 25, 8 a.m.
Race starts and ends south of the hospital
Get your heart pumping and support a good cause by running or walking in Lub Dub, a 5K/10K Run and Walk. The annual Lub Dub, named after the sound of a healthy heartbeat, benefits the Camye Callis Gaspard Memorial Heart Fund, which helps finance improvements in cardiovascular treatment at Bothwell Regional Health Center. The fund was created by the Callis-Gaspard families in memory of Camye Callis Gaspard, a mother of four who died at a young age from complications of an undiagnosed heart condition.
This chip-timed event draws more than 500 participants – both competitive runners and social walkers who support the cause. All participants who pre-register receive a Lub Dub tech shirt and swag bag. The event also includes a Kiddie Run, beginning at 9 a.m., for children ages 9 and under. Award ceremony begins at 9:30 a.m.
The time period for online registration has ended, you may pick up a paper form at the Bothwell Education Center, 600 East 14th or register beginning at 7 a.m. on race day.
