Bothwell’s Physical Therapy Department in Sedalia and Warsaw provide a full range of physical and occupational therapy services. Our health and rehabilitation professionals are trained to help people regain and build skills that are vital to their health, well-being, security and happiness.We work with people of all ages in both individual and group settings. By using a unique, hands-on approach combined with specialized equipment, physical therapists evaluate and measure functions of patients’ musculoskeletal, neurological, pulmonary and cardiovascular systems.They also treat physical problems caused by injury, illness or birth defect. THERAPY EQUIPMENT AND PROCEDURES We offer these services as a part of Bothwell Rehab Services: • Hydrotherapy (whirlpool); hot/cold packs, ultrasound, fluidotherapy, and paraffin baths for pain, relaxation, swelling or inflammation • Electrical stimulation equipment for pain control, muscle relaxation and prevention of muscle atrophy • Exercise equipment to develop strength, endurance, cardiovascular conditioning and smooth joint motion • Traction tables and equipment for treatment of back, neck and musculoskeletal disorders • Computerized exercise/diagnostic equipment used to improve joint motion and function strength on all major body joints, such as knees, ankles, shoulders, elbows and wrists • Iontophoresis, a non-invasive procedure in which medication is electronically propelled into tissue by “ion flow” positive or negative charged medication, eliminating additional trauma to the tissue from injections • Laser light & Anodyne infrared therapies for improved healing time, increased circulation and sensation. |
