Bothwell Regional Health Center has been notified that the Governor’s Office has approved funding that will extend the state-run Monoclonal Antibody Infusion Center located at Bothwell hospital for an additional 30 days.
The center opened on the hospital’s third floor Aug. 25 for an initial 30 days and state-contracted staff has provided monoclonal antibody infusion treatment to eligible people who tested positive for Covid-19 or who had symptoms due to a high-risk exposure. Monoclonal antibodies are proteins that can help your body fight off Covid-19 and reduce the risk of severe disease and hospitalization.
People may call their physician or call the infusion center at 660.829.6647 to find out if they are eligible for the treatment. Clinic hours are 8 am to 8 pm Monday through Sunday, and there is no cost for the treatment.
