The Bothwell Foundation’s Community Relations committee will host a “What Your Mama Never Told You” event just for women at 7 pm May 16 at RiOak Market Loft in Cole Camp.

The free evening is an opportunity for women to hear information and ask questions about health topics important to them. The panel includes Dr. Misty Todd, family medicine and women’s health physician, and Nurse Practitioner Pamela Eckhoff, both at Bothwell Cole Camp Clinic and Physical Therapist Jen Dickinson with Mid-Missouri Pelvic Health. The women will offer professional insights and take questions about women’s health issues throughout every stage of life.

Diana Nichols is the new chair of the Community Relations committee and said the group is excited to bring a second event to the area, this time in Benton County. Bothwell Regional Health Center has clinics in Cole Camp, Lincoln and Warsaw.

“The ‘What Your Mama Never Told You’ event we hosted in Sedalia was an enormous hit and offered women an opportunity to be together in a fun and informal setting,” she said. “We had great feedback and decided to offer the event again with new presenters and in Cole Camp. Women make the majority of family health care decisions but don’t often take the time to take care of our own health. This event will allow women to get together, relax and have open conversations about health topics specific to them in a comfortable environment.”

Seating is limited, and women interested in attending should register by May 10 at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/WYMNTY2024CC. The survey link includes an option to submit questions or topics in confidence so the presenters can prepare.
