Medicare Simplified seminar Sept. 11

The Bothwell Foundation’s Community Relations committee will host a free Medicare Simplified seminar at 11:30 am Sept. 11 at Heckart Community Center.

The seminar is a presentation for those currently enrolled or preparing to enroll in a Medicare program. Attendees can expect to hear from skilled professionals on all topics pertaining to Medicare. Panel experts include guests from Missouri SHIP – State Health Insurance Assistance Program, Bothwell physicians and more.

Panel experts will share tips for enrolling in Medicare, choosing the right coverage plan, how to lower Medicare costs and the resources needed to navigate the insurance program.

Cliff Callis, Community Relations chair, said the committee hopes those who attend the seminar leave feeling better informed about their insurance options and empowered to navigate Medicare and its benefits.

“Medicare can be a confusing topic, and many of us don’t know where to start,” Callis said. “Our committee is dedicated to educating the community on all aspects of health care that Bothwell provides, including the insurance options for that care. For this seminar, we’re bringing Medicare experts to you in hopes of providing a better understanding of the program.”

The Heckart Community Center is located at 1800 W. 3rd St. in Sedalia. The seminar will be in Community Room C, and complimentary lunch will be provided.

The Community Relations committee is also organizing tours of Bothwell hospital for area clubs and organizations. Those interested in touring the hospital should contact Thiel-Payne.
