Bothwell Foundation to host ‘What Your Mama Never Told You’ event Nov. 9

The Bothwell Foundation’s Community Relations committee will host a “What Your Mama Never Told You” event just for women at 7 pm Nov. 9 at the Sedalia Country Club.

The free evening is an opportunity for women to hear information and ask questions about health topics important to them. Dr. Julie Cahill with Bothwell Family Medicine Associates and Nurse Practitioner Dee Dee Gilmore with Bothwell Susan O’Brien Fischer Cancer Center will offer insights and take questions about women’s health care throughout every stage of life.

Kelli Weymuth is a member of the Community Relations committee and is spearheading the event.

“‘What Your Mama Never Told You’ is all about breaking the silence and exploring the untold truths of women’s health in a fun and informal atmosphere,” she said. “Many women are busy working or raising children or both, and sometimes their health takes a back seat. This night is a way for women to get together, relax and have open conversations about health topics specific to them.”

Seating is limited, and women interested in attending should register by Nov. 2 at www.surveymonkey.com/r/WYMNTY2023. The survey link includes an option to submit questions or topics in confidence so the presenters can prepare.
