Trying to decide if a health care career is right for you? Try Medical Explorers!
Medical Explorers is a program offered by Bothwell Regional Health Center and the Learning for Life program of the Boy Scouts of America, Ozark Trails Post #75. It is open to young men and women in grades 11 and 12 who reside in Pettis or Benton counties with an interest in learning more about careers in the health care field.
Monthly programs include:
- Visiting with hospital departments for presentations, demonstrations and hands-on learning experiences
- Exploring careers in nursing, radiology, rehabilitation services, laboratory, emergency medicine, cancer care and more
- Working side by side with health care workers including physicians, nurses, technicians, advanced practice clinicians, therapists and more
The application deadline for the 2022-2023 Medical Explorers program, which starts in January, is 5 pm Oct. 28. Program cost is $62, which is collected after the selection process. To apply, download the application and program information from the below links.
