Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs)

Certified Nurse Assistants, or CNAs, provide direct care to patients in the hospital. As a vital part of a larger care team, Certified Nurse Assistants work under the supervision of Registered Nurses and help patients with a wide range of basic needs, including eating, bathing, grooming, mobility and more.

At Bothwell, we provide on-site training for current employees who want to be CNAs. Classes usually run six to eight weeks in duration and include classroom learning, hands-on training and on-the-job training. Once the program is complete, students must take a state competency exam. Once students pass the exam, they are placed on the state registry of Certified Nurse Assistants and can begin working as a CNA in the hospital.
