Bothwell seeks applications for Patient and Family Advisory Council
Bothwell Regional Health Center invites patients, family members and caregivers to apply to join its Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC), a group dedicated to improving patient care by integrating the perspectives of those who have firsthand experience with the health center’s services.
The PFAC provides an opportunity for open communication between patients and hospital leadership, ensuring that decisions about care and services are informed by those who use them. Council members collaborate with Bothwell staff to evaluate existing and proposed services, offer feedback on improvement initiatives and share personal experiences to help enhance patient care. They also serve as ambassadors for Bothwell in the community and support the organization’s mission, vision and values.
“The Patient and Family Advisory Council is a vital part of our commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care,” said Lori Wightman, Bothwell’s CEO. “By bringing patients and their families into the conversation, we can make meaningful changes that directly benefit those we serve.”
The council meets from 4:30 to 6 pm on the third Wednesday of every other month, with members serving two-year terms. Current community advisors on the PFAC include Vanessa Grosso, Stephanie Dedrick, Steven Griffith and Elizabeth Dillon. Bothwell representatives include Patient Advocate Wendy Fairfax, Chief Nursing Officer Michele Laas and Wightman.
Bothwell is seeking new members who are interested in helping shape the patient experience. Individuals who have received care at Bothwell or have supported a loved one through care are encouraged to apply.
