Bothwell welcomes new board member

The Bothwell Regional Health Center Board of Trustees has welcomed Jason Joy as a new member after the Sedalia City Council approved his appointment at its meeting June 17. Joy will serve a four-year term.
Joy is the owner of The Missouri Barber Company and has a professional background in insurance, finance and budget management. He joins a team committed to ensuring quality health care in the Sedalia region.
Joy said he’s excited to serve on the board and will focus on open communication and accountability.
“This role allows me the ability to contribute meaningfully to an organization that is vital to the well-being of our area,” he said. “It’s my hope that with honest and transparent conversation, we can ensure Bothwell remains a trusted cornerstone of our community for future generations. I aim to support initiatives that improve patient outcomes, strengthen staff support and responsible financial stewardship.” z
Joy’s background in finance and planning has equipped him to help strengthen Bothwell’s sustainability and long-term strategy.
“My focus is on fiscal responsibility and strategic planning, key elements in supporting a strong, community-based health care institution like Bothwell,” he said.
Joy thanked Sedalia Mayor Andrew Dawson for the appointment and said he’s looking forward to what lies ahead.
“Being appointed to the Bothwell Board of Trustees is an absolute honor and a responsibility I don’t take lightly,” he said. “I appreciate the trust that Mayor Dawson has in me, and I look forward to the next four years and beyond.”
The Bothwell Board of Trustees meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 5:30 pm in the hospital board room. Members are appointed by the Mayor and reviewed and approved by City Council.
