Top baby names of 2025 at Bothwell Regional Health Center
The list of top names for babies born at Bothwell Regional Health Center in 2025 includes unique and classic names. Nine girl and 11 boy names hold the title of most popular compiled from the list of babies born through Dec. 18 at Bothwell Hospital.
The most popular girl names were Scarlett and Sophia, followed closely by Aaliyah, Amara, Amelia, Aria, Evelyn, Everleigh and Layla. The most popular boy names for the year were Bentley and Jackson, followed next by Jasper, Liam, Cooper, Eli, Henry, Oliver, Stetson, Waylon and Wyatt. Jackson, Henry and Waylon were the only returning names from the 2024 list.
“Looking at the year’s baby names is always a joy,” said Lori Wightman, Bothwell CEO. “We are honored to be a part of these special moments for families and grateful to be trusted with caring for so many babies, mothers and families.”
Amelia (No. 2) and Sophia (No. 3) overlap with the babycenter.com list of top 10 names in 2025, while Liam (No.2 ) and Oliver (No. 3) were the two boy names to overlap on the national list.
All babies born at Bothwell receive a special “Delivered by Bothwell” baby blanket, packages of diapers and wipes, and safe sleep information provided by the Bothwell Foundation. Families are also given the opportunity to take “Delivered by Bothwell” photos in front of the photo wall in Women’s Health and Newborn Care as they leave the hospital. The wall was funded by the Bothwell Foundation.
“Each new life brings joy, hope and a sense of renewal for our entire team,” Wightman said. “From early clinic visits to hearing the chime ring throughout the hospital after a baby is born, we’re grateful to share in these moments and thankful families choose us to be part of their care. We wish them a healthy and happy new year.”
