Bothwell hospital has been named a regional Monoclonal Antibody Infusion Center as part of the state’s effort to make the Covid-19 treatment more widely available.
Monoclonal antibodies are proteins that can help your body fight off Covid-19. It is for treatment of mild to moderate positive Covid-19 cases and for post-exposure prevention (without a positive test) in adults and children 12 years and older who are at high risk for progression to severe Covid-19. Treatment can reduce the risk of severe illness or hospitalization.
This treatment works best if it’s administered right after symptoms appear. So, don’t be embarrassed to be tested, and don’t wait. It’s better to know whether it’s Covid-19 or allergies sooner rather than later. We offer drive-through testing Monday through Saturday at our Healing Arts Center parking lot.
If you have received a positive Covid-19 result or have been exposed to a Covid-positive person and have had symptoms in the last 10 days, you may call the Infusion Center referral number at 660.829.6647 to be screened for potential treatment. There is no cost for this treatment.
