Bothwell Regional Health Center announces dates for community education classes

After canceling the majority of its community education and support groups last year due to COVID-19, Bothwell Regional Health Center will offer a Safe Sitter educational class Saturday, June 26, and Community CPR/AED and First Aid courses Saturday, July 10. Classes will meet in the Bothwell Education Center at 601 E. 14th Street.

Safe Sitter will be held from 8 am to 2:30 pm Saturday, June 26. Course materials are designed to prepare students in grades 6 through 8 to be safe when they’re home alone, watching younger siblings or babysitting. The class is filled with fun games and exercises. The cost is $35, and registration should be made by June 19.

Community CPR/AED and First Aid will be held Saturday, July 10. The CPR/AED class is from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, and the fee is $35. First Aid is from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., and the fee is $35. The fee for both classes is $50.

“We are excited to begin offering educational programs again for the community,” said Kim Perez, Clinical Education director. “We look forward to reopening our full schedule of classes soon and providing the community with the education and resources they need.”
