For children in grades six through eight.
If your child is ready to enter the world of babysitting, make sure he or she is fully prepared by attending our Safe Sitter class. Our comprehensive one-day course will help young people be safer, more confident caregivers and give them the resources they need to succeed whether they are babysitting other children, their siblings or are home alone.
New babysitters will learn about injury management, childcare essentials, injury prevention, behavior management, the business of babysitting and how to care for a choking child or infant. Course materials are designed to be age/grade appropriate.

Class sizes are limited and fill quickly, so early registration is recommended. Course payment is due at least 10 days before the class date and required to hold your child’s place in the class.
Once payment is received, parents and children will be required to read and complete the Safe Sitter Registration Form and Safe Sitter Student Contract to complete enrollment.
Check-in begins at 7:30 am on the day of the course, which starts promptly at 8 am. Adults are invited to a short program at 2:30 pm.
